Located in Wembley, Gujju Dhaba Express is a delightful vegetarian restaurant that offers an array of Indian culinary delights. The standout dish, the Gujju Thali, has garnered rave reviews for its generous portions and vibrant flavors, featuring three sabjis, dal, rotis, jeera rice, and chaas—all for just £9.99. Diners like Salil Amrute praise the atmosphere and service, which is frequently noted as impeccable.
However, the menu presents some surprises; while their special weekend thali is a nod to Punjabi cuisine, it may leave those craving Gujarati flavors a bit perplexed. Dishes like Pav Bhaji and Paneer Tikka stand out, yet customer feedback indicates varying experiences with them, with some users feeling the offerings could be improved upon, particularly the paneer preparations.
The ambiance, complemented by a sports TV, adds to the overall dining experience, making it a great spot for both quick bites and leisurely meals. While prices can be on the higher side, experiences like N J’s justify the expense for the quality of food. Overall, Gujju Dhaba Express promises a diverse menu and a welcoming environment—perfect for vegetarians and those seeking a taste of India.

Based on 618 reviewsGujju Dhaba Express is widely appreciated for its diverse vegetarian and vegan offerings, particularly its Gujju thali which is noted for value and variety. Customers highlight the restaurant’s effective blend of North and South Indian dishes, with several praising the authentic flavors of signature items like paneer tikka. The ambiance is described as pleasant, complemented by attentive and prompt service, contributing to an overall positive dining experience. Some feedback points to inconsistencies in menu authenticity and occasional wait times. While snacks and chaats receive mixed reviews, the generous portion sizes and comfortable atmosphere are commonly acknowledged strengths, making it a favored spot for both casual meals and special cravings.
Absolutely amazing Gujju thali for £9.99.. which includes 3 sabjis,1 dal, 2 rotis, jeera rice, salad, sweet and chaas .. the atmosphere is also very nice and the service is absolutely 10/10 .. highly recommended
The food was good, and the service was top-notch. Everything was served promptly, so there was minimal wait time. The ambiance was great, and there was a TV where sports were being played. They had a wide variety of North Indian dishes, as well as some South Indian options. Overall, it was a great place to dine. The serving size was enough for two people, and there was a 10% service charge that was mandatory. Just a heads up, this is a completely vegetarian restaurant.
Good , fast food. Chaat items were good. Vadapav average and no red dry garlic chutney despite costing almost a fiver, a definite mark down on this from me. Serves alcohol.
Went to this place craving a Gujarati thali on a weekend, after looking at Google rating. Funny thing is, their Gujju special weekend thali is Punjabi food and not Gujarati ! Ended up ordering a-la-carte Undhiyun and lilva kadhi. Food took a tad long to arrive but was delicious. Pro tip: One portion of poori contain two bhatoora-sized pooris. So be mindful while ordering. Service was average and 10% mandatory service charge doesn’t make you a fan of the place.
I was craving for Paneer Tikka and ordered it. I was taking a risk, having had some bad experiences in the past. However, it exceeded my expectations. I would definitely visit this place just for paneer tikka again. I also ordered karahi paneer, dal makhani, tandoori aloo parantha, mango lassi, and tandoori roti. Karahi paneer was average and technically shouldn't be called karahi paneer as it didn't have any capsicum and had a smooth gravy. Dal and parantha were good. I found it a bit expensive as the bill was over 50 quids for two people. Overall, the experience was good and will recommend the place.
Great food. Love the Manchurian here and tried the butter cheese masala. It was too rich and heavy for me but great place and good food and service overall.
Taste was good.. Excellent service. Very quiet and good ambience. We tried few of the chat items and the thali . Sev Puri was awesome.. As I don't prefer garlic taste in my food , I feel hard in most of the other places.. How ever here most of the dishes had subtle garlic or no garlic taste at all which I preferred. The thali had enough portions (not too small nor too much ) of all curry / rice /dhal etc.. this covers 1 sweet and 1 cup of chass.. this is sufficient for 1 adult.. I have a special appreciation for the 2 chappatis that came along with thali.. they were so soft and thin.. so appitaizeing to eat.. also for 10 GBP this thali is worth trying. Last but not the least the faludas that we tried will have kulfies instead of regular ice-cream which made it special and more tasty
